We were hired as a general contractor to build from ground up a custom lake house with 2600 sq. ft. of living space and 400 sq.ft. of one-of-a-kind covered patio.
As custom home builders we did complete ground / earth works, which involved excavation, house foundation forming, concrete pour, damp proofing foundation, crawlspace slab prep and pour, drain tile and backfill.
In the next phase we framed the house, with added custom timber beams for the outside patio and interior beams, and installed facia boards throughout the roof lines.
Our general contracting scope of work on this project was focused on the following primary areas.
Preparations and installations of windows Tyvek, rainscreens, bug screens, 2x6 facia wood trims and metal flashings around all doors and windows. The exterior of the structure is protected with sleek and strong HardiePlank lap siding.
We installed 12" pro lock metal roof with synthetic underlayment, as well as all flashings, to ensure the house withstands all sorts of elements a northern BC weather can throw at it.
Equally complex and extensive were our interior finishing tasks. It included flooring installation prep, vinyl plank flooring install, custom cabinets, unique millworks, all doors hardware and bathroom fixture installations.
We also completed an architectural concrete patio formwork.
We've managed and oversaw works performed by electricians, plumbers, tile setters, painters and gas fitters to make sure the execution standards meet or exceed not only our customers' expectations, but also Wesbrook's requirements, which is much stricter and higher to meet.
