Recently we’ve had the pleasure of using Wesbrook Construction for our kitchen renovation project. Initially, we didn’t have a plan to change the entire cooktop area of our kitchen, but it turns out that our range hood vent that was installed by the builder was severely undersized for the size of the cooktop underneath and as a result its inner blower, inside wirings and walls were covered with thick layer of grease. There was no way we could clean it since our hands wouldn’t fit through. It was huge fire hazard.
So, we wanted to simply replace the vent hood with newer model and we thought we should be good. Unfortunately, after calling all major appliance stores in the lower mainland, as well as contacting various online appliance stores, we learned that no one carried the unit that would fit to our existing stonework setup. We had no choice but to alter the entire cooktop area so that we can have a new and proper size range hood installed.
That’s where Wesbrook gentlemen stepped in. They demolished the existing brickwork carefully and afterwards cleaned up the dust and debris thoroughly. The wall behind the cooktop was prepped nicely for a new marble slab backsplash installation. We were consulted every step of the way about what kind of slab and size may be suitable, were given exact measurement details and drawings to aid in our slab selection, and material and color choices for a new cabinet work planned. They re-wired everything to accommodate our new cooktop, cabinet lightings and the vent hood.
One thing that I would like to emphasize is their punctuality. If they said they would be coming at a certain time, they come right on time. Always confirmed their ETA beforehand so that we can arrange our affairs accordingly.
